CY Partners are currently recruiting for a Graduate Chemist / Laboratory Technician to join a growing analytical laboratory based in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate or someone with laboratory experience looking to begin or develop a career within analytical science. The successful candidate will support routine laboratory analysis and quality testing using a range of analytical and wet chemistry techniques in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out analytical testing using techniques including HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry methods
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and calibration standards
  • Accurately record and report analytical data
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory procedures
  • Support quality control and continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all laboratory health & safety procedures

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Laboratory experience gained through university, placement year, or industry desirable
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC
