Location: Hamilton. We are looking for an Associate Network Support Engineer, where you will be at the cutting edge of networking, security and data centre technologies and solutions. Insight is expanding our support and managed services team and seeking to recruit talented engineers within our growing practice. You will be part of our 24x7 Managed Service Team, delivering top‑tier support to clients across various industries and sizes. We are a Managed Service Provider with clear growth ambitions, and we are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented teammate who thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment. You will bring an interest in networking, data centre, and security — especially in Cisco, HP/Aruba, Juniper, and Palo Alto solutions — and a passion for supporting new and emerging technologies, and of course excellent customer service. This role is a hybrid position; you will be expected to come into the office three times a week as part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain client networks to ensure peak performance, security, and stability.
- Provide 1st line support for LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies, security solutions, and data centre switching, escalating tickets when required.
- Execute planned and BAU changes, patching, and security updates within the client environments, following best practices.
- Leverage ITIL principles and ITSM systems (ServiceNow) for troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues quickly and maintain service continuity for our clients.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for client environments and solutions.
- Provide 24x7 support and be part of the on‑call team to provide round‑the‑clock assistance to clients.
- Attend client sites when required in alignment with support contracts and agreed SLAs.
- Undertake project delivery activities as part of a wider deployment team, under the guidance of Project Managers and Senior Engineers.

Key Skills and Experience
- IT helpdesk or customer‑facing roles would be a distinct advantage.
- Skilled and knowledgeable in one (or more) areas of networking, security or data centre technologies.
- Be able to demonstrate strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple tickets/challenges whilst prioritizing urgency.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or can demonstrate equivalent work experience.
- Cisco: CCST/Cisco Support Technician level accreditations or CCNA/Cisco Associate level accreditations.
- HP/Aruba: ACMA.
- Vendor Neutral: CompTIA Network+/Security+.
- AI Literacy and readiness relevant to Network Engineering, e.g. Cisco Certified AI Technical Practitioner (AITECH).
