The role places children and young people at the centre of all activity by acting as a Quality Officer, supporting pupil development, guiding schools, and contributing to the authority’s aim of ensuring all learners reach their full potential. The officer is also responsible for matters relating to the ALN Code and the ALN and Education Tribunal Wales Act (2018), with a particular focus on supporting dispute-resolution processes and strengthening positive relationships with parents/representatives. The postholder will also ensure that schools meet statutory timescales, manage tribunal-related processes, and monitor and report on ALN provision in specific sectors.
