Overall job purpose: Support the Headteacher through providing strategic and operational leadership across the school, with a focus specifically on well-being, behaviour, safeguarding, inclusion and attendance, to ensure that all learners have the best possible opportunity to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
The Governing Body wishes to appoint a person with the skills to:
- Work collaboratively with the headteacher in all aspects of the school’s work
- Act as the senior management team member for curricular aspects and data
- Provide effective leadership and management
- Manage school-wide projects
- Support and develop teamwork
- Work effectively with staff, governors, parents, and the wider community
- Promote the Welsh language ethos within the school and its extracurricular activities
- Motivate all pupils to reach their full potential
- Fulfil professional duties in accordance with Professional Welsh Teachers standards, School Policies and Procedures, and current Legislation and Protection Guidelines.
- Create and promote a strong ethos of safeguarding, safety and well-being
- Ensure opportunity equality and access to quality education high for all learners
- Lead with emphasis on positive relationships, respect and constructive behaviour
- Work together with staff, parents / governors and external agencies
