This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR professional to join the Employee Relations team within the Council. The HR team prides itself on its effective working relationships throughout the organisation and the successful candidate will share this commitment. The successful candidate should have experience of working within a busy HR environment, complex employee relations case management and supporting organisational change.
Main Responsibilities
- To be an active member of the senior management teams for the designated services and act within that team on the development and implementation of the Council Strategy with particular responsibility for the people element.
- To provide leadership on the people aspects of business plans and provide HR solutions to the Head of Service and senior managers on people and organisation issues to improve service performance.
- To work in partnership with senior management teams to identify opportunities to improve people related matters at a strategic level.
- To provide active leadership on HR critical areas such as workforce planning, performance, talent management, organisation development, change and leadership within the Council and work with the relevant HR resources as appropriate on the development of these areas.
- To develop senior management capability through coaching, facilitation and workshops.
