We are looking to recruit a Mail Room & Scanning Officer to join our Corporate Mail Room within the Customer Services Team.
Responsibilities
- Deal with all incoming and outgoing post, and its effective recording and distribution.
- Provide clerical and administrative support within the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Sections.
- Be part of a team that is responsible for providing a prompt, fair and efficient service to the public in the administration and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates.
- Provide clerical support to the Customer Services Team.
Qualifications
- Is reliable.
- Is able to carry out tasks with accuracy and ability to demonstrate initiative.
- Has knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Packages at or above basic/introductory level.
- Has the ability to communicate orally and in writing in both English and Welsh.
- Has experience of working in a ‘Mail Room’.
- Has knowledge of Council Services.

Customer Contact & ICT. Our service has a range of responsibilities from providing advice and support to the residents of Ceredigion to providing corporate support via our ICT, reception and mailroom teams. Our service is responsible for the following functions:
- Civil Registration: Birth, deaths and marriages.
- Corporate Customer Services: Blue badge; Contact centre; Mailroom and scanning; Receptions.
- ICT and Information Management: Archives and modern records; ICT support; Infrastructure and security; Project and application support; Reprographics, Technical support, Software development.
- Library Services.
