We are looking to recruit a Roadworker to join our Highways and Environmental Services team on a permanent basis, based at our Penrhos Depot in Llandysul.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Work in a number of varied tasks, tarmacing, slabing etc
- May be required to drive vehicles with specialist driving skills
We are looking to recruit an individual:
- Who has a full Valid UK Driving license
- Who has a knowledge of Highway Maintenance Activities
- Aware of Safe working practices
The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.

- Highways Maintenance: Cyclic and Routine Maintenance; Emergency response; Highways inspection; Winter service.
- Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement.
- Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning.
Penrhos Depot: Penrhos is the depot which serves the southern half of our county. Penrhos is located on the A486 near the border town of Llandysul.
