The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

This is a rare opportunity for a position at Ceredigion Archives, the County Record Office. Join the Archives and Records Management team based in the Old Town Hall, Aberystwyth. You will assist the public with historical research at the Archives and provide administrative support to the authority's information and records management service.

We are seeking someone with qualifications at graduate level or previous relevant experience, with an interest in local history, good people skills, and a proven record of discretion and administrative competence. The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

Where you'll work:

Customer Contact & ICT. Our service has responsibilities including providing advice and support to residents of Ceredigion and supporting our ICT, reception, and mailroom teams. Our functions include:

  • Civil Registration: Births, deaths, and marriages.
  • Corporate Customer Services: Blue badge, contact centre, mailroom and scanning, receptions.
  • ICT and Information Management: Archives and modern records, ICT support, infrastructure and security, project and application support, reprographics, technical support, software development.

Library Services. Aberystwyth is a vibrant university town and seaside resort, complete with promenade and pier, and is the setting of the atmospheric TV drama Hinterland.
