About the role
Under the general direction of the Service Manager- Network & Asset Maintenance, and in collaboration with Operational Managers, to plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of Highways Projects, including:
- Winter Service provision.
- Emergency/Out-of-hours response.
- Annual Surface Dressing Programme.
- Maintenance of Highways Network & Asset Quality Management Systems to ISO standard (ISO 45001, 15001 and 9001).
About the candidate
- HND/HNC Civil Engineering and/or demonstrable evidence of a minimum of 5 years’ relevant successful experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Internal Auditor Certification (can be achieved when in post).
- Practical experience in managing financial/budgetary management, procurement and human resources.
- Practical experience of managing and effectively working with medium sized teams.
- Knowledge and experience of the operational aspects of the identified service areas outlined in the Job description.
