Cardiff Day Service is a specialist Day Service that provides support to adults with a learning disability who have complex support needs. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of valued activities and opportunities within the local community to meet their identified outcomes.
About the job
We are looking for a suitably experienced and self-motivated individual to join a well-established Learning Disability Day Service Management Team.
Your role will be to work as part of a team to provide effective leadership and management of people and performance in a social care context, ensuring that the service we deliver is consistently of high quality, person centred and outcome led.
You will be expected to-
Work alongside the day service manager to take the lead for a designated area of the day service;
Monitor and review services to ensure they remain person centred and that agreed outcomes are met;
Effectively supervise member of the day service team and actively contribute to the Personal Performance and Development Review process;
Undertake risk assessments for day service activity and contribute to the overall risk management of the service;
Contribute to the day to day running of the day service.

Experience of leading and managing a social care team effectively.
A good understanding of and commitment to underpinning social care values and ethics.
Excellent communication skills and possess the ability to use analytical skills to aid problem solving and decision-making.
Flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast changing service.
A commitment to offering a positive person centred approach to individuals supported by the service.
A belief that people with learning disabilities have the right to achieve their full potential and have the right to be positively engaged within their community.
