A new opportunity has become available within the Planning, Transport & Environment Finance Team for a Capital/ Grants Project Officer, to support the delivery and financial management of the Directorates Capital Programme, including the Transport White Paper, Highways Asset Management Plan and One Planet Cardiff.
About the job
As Capital/ Grants Project Officer you will support the Capital Section Leader in the financial monitoring and reporting of the capital programme, including S.106 contributions, as well as a wide variety of external grants, including:
- quarterly & annual reports
- spend profiles and projections
The role is very varied and fast moving, you will liaise with many different project officers across multiple teams to obtain/ provide financial and project management information.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have a background in finance, with the following key skills;
- experience of producing financial reports and information
- able to work to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- strong communication & interpersonal skills
- self-motivated, with a proactive approach, able to use initiative
Some knowledge/ experience of working with projects or grants would be advantageous but is not essential.
