Ty Canna Outreach Service – Mental Health.

We are a small team based in Ty Canna, Canton, Cardiff providing a high quality community service to adults with mental health issues and enabling them to move through recovery.

We receive our referrals from Community Mental Health Teams and will be working closely with other agencies.

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Day Service Officer to join the team.

This is an exciting project that aims to enable people to move through recovery through providing a structure to their week.

The successful applicant will work alongside managers to co-ordinate this busy service.
An assertive approach is required to help people work towards goals, hopes and aspirations.

The ability to work in collaboration with other services is required as well as the ability to signpost to key agencies.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful applicant needs to have experience of co-ordinating day services and undertaking day service plans and reviews.

Experience of supervising staff to ensure a high quality day service is delivered to people

We would like to hear from you if you are innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated, with excellent communication and IT skills.

Experience in the field of working within mental health provision is required and working with people with complex needs.

The successful candidate will also be organised , creative and excited at the opportunity to help people with mental health issues realise their potential and move forward with their lives.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.

Additional information

This post is part time and will work 18.5 hours per week.

We need you to be flexible in both working hours and location and that might include occasional weekends and evenings.

A full, valid driving license and the use of a car is desirable.

This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
