Cardiff Councils Specialist Housing Service provide accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people and families in housing need. Our services run 24/7 365 days a year. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, our service has had to make large changes and the successful candidates will contribute to the expansion of the service within.

About the job

The COMPLEX NEEDS CASE CO-ORDINATOR will be responsible for: The organisation seeking staff to provide comprehensive assistance to complex clients facing homelessness. Responsibilities include engagement, case management, needs assessment, multidisciplinary coordination, accommodation recommendations, intervention, resettlement, journey coordination, and ensuring a consistent service approach.
The aim is to empower individuals to transition to stable housing and rebuild their lives effectively.
You will be; Managing a caseload of homeless clients with complex needs who are living in homeless accommodation. Help the individual navigate their way through and out of homelessness. Ensure that clients have access to intervention, support and opportunities that will enhance their lives. Work collaboratively with the Homelessness Multi-disciplinary Team, Supported Accommodation and other partner organisations for the benefit of the clients that they are supporting.
Advocate strongly and passionately for their clients. Be able to work dynamically from a to deliver a high quality, person centred, trauma informed and multi-agency approach to clients in Cardiff.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and creative individuals with the ability to foster positive relationships.
People who are individually minded and who can demonstrate the importance of integrity. Have a good understanding of therapeutic approaches. This is an exciting opportunity, and we are looking for a variety of people from various working backgrounds to make a real difference.
Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage. The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage.
The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.
