An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed individuals with excellent customer service skills to join our Volunteer team anchored within Cardiff Hubs & Libraries.
About the job
You will be required to manage a team of Community Volunteer Mentors and Community Inclusion Officers anchored within the Hubs & Libraries across the city.
You will be required to support and coordinate the activities of community volunteer champions, who will work with community groups.
You will be required to help develop training materials for digital inclusion activities.
You will be required to act as a point of contact for community organisations, developing effective referral methods, whilst working with community organisations, and managers of third sector organisations, providing guidance and support to their hosting of community volunteers.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have excellent customer service skills and experience of coordinating events
You will have experience of managing and overseeing campaigns and social media content, working with established groups to achieve a broad reach.
You will have experience of building effective working relationships with key services within the Council and other public and third sector organisations to develop a shared view of the key issues, priorities and activities.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh would be an advantage.
