Cardiff Council’s Supported Accommodation and Assessment Service provides accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people, families and young people experiencing housing need. Services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our Young People’s Supported Accommodation Service provides safe and supportive housing for young people aged 16–21 who are experiencing homelessness. We operate across several locations within the city and place a strong focus on empowerment, stability and positive futures.
As a Night Supported Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality support and oversight during out‑of‑hours periods. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the safety, wellbeing, and stability of both the young people and the accommodation environment overnight.
What We Are Looking For From You

- Experience of working with individuals who present complex behaviours, and an understanding of the challenges faced by homeless people and/or young people, would be advantageous.
- Applicants should have experience of working directly with customers and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
- Strong communication, administrative and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to manage and resolve disputes constructively.
- The ability to speak a community language would be an advantage.
