Project Support Officer in Cardiff

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Support Officer to join Social Services and support the implementation of a range of digital projects across the directorate.

The role will provide an opportunity to work alongside service areas and teams to help deliver projects that improve the way services operate and support staff in their day-to-day work.

About the job

The main focus of the role will be to support the implementation of additional ECLIPSE modules that complement the core ECLIPSE case management system used by Social Services.

The role will also support a range of digital projects currently being delivered across Children’s Services. These projects are focused on streamlining administrative processes, improving data quality and accuracy, and enabling more effective communication and information sharing across teams and stakeholders.

The successful implementation of digital solutions will help reduce administrative demands on social workers, enabling them to spend more time working directly with children and families and ultimately improving the quality of care and support provided.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for a highly organised, positive and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.

You will need to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being able to manage tasks independently. Flexibility and adaptability will be important, as the role will support a range of projects and respond to the changing needs of the service.

It would be desirable for candidates to have undertaken project management training or have previous experience of working on projects using recognised project management methodologies.
