Cardiff is growing faster than any other capital city in Europe and we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative individual to join Frontline Services.
Our Digital & Projects team works across a diverse range of services, supporting the delivery of digital transformation, business improvement and service redesign initiatives. We work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement new technologies and ensure services are equipped to meet current and future challenges.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how frontline services are delivered, helping to improve outcomes for residents through technology, innovation and collaboration.
About the job
As Digital & Transformation Co-ordinator, you will coordinate and deliver a range of digital and service improvement projects across Frontline Services.
Working closely with managers, operational teams, ICT colleagues and suppliers, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, implement digital solutions and support service transformation activities. You will be involved in all stages of project delivery, from analysing business needs and developing solutions through to implementation, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.
No two days will be the same. One day you may be working with service managers to redesign a business process, the next supporting the implementation of a new system, analysing service data, preparing reports for senior managers or working with suppliers to deliver improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and using digital technology to make a real difference to frontline service delivery.
What We Are Looking For From You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving services and embracing new ways of working.
You will have experience of coordinating projects, delivering service improvements or supporting digital transformation activities. You will be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, understanding business needs and developing practical solutions to operational challenges.
You will possess strong analytical and organisational skills and be confident gathering information, interpreting data and producing clear reports, recommendations and project documentation. Experience of working with digital systems, process improvement or change initiatives would be highly beneficial.
The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can manage competing priorities, build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels. You will be committed to continuous improvement and enjoy finding innovative ways to enhance service delivery and customer outcomes.
Experience of Microsoft 365 applications is essential and experience of project delivery, procurement activities, business analysis or working within operational service environments would be advantageous.
Additional information
You will be able to quickly adapt to technologies used by the service. You will need to understand and operate in line with Council Policies and Procedures. You must maintain the reputation of the Council by adopting a professional and courteous approach.
