Cardiff Councils Support and Accommodation Service provide accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people in housing need.
Our services run 24/7 365 days a year.
Since the pandemic, our service has had to make large changes and the successful candidates will contribute to the expansion of the service.
About the job
The post holder will be responsible for the administrative and general housing duties at the temporary accommodation facility and to provide administrative support to the Supported Accommodation Manager as required. An overview of the job description is set out below:-
- Managing correspondence and communications of the supported accommodation such as phone calls, e-mails and post
- Record keeping and data management
- Oversight of office inventory
- Submit timely reports as assigned
- Customer and Client interaction to maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and service.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and creative individuals with the ability to foster positive relationships.
This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for a variety of people from various working backgrounds to make a real difference. Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage.
The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage. The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.
