The Data Analytics and Visualization team is seeking a Business Analyst to support a system review and data threat assessment initiative. This role focuses on reviewing existing data sources and data source systems to identify threats to data validity and reliability and developing actionable recommendations to improve overall data quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform system reviews to assess existing data sources and data source systems across the agency.
- Identify, analyze, and document threats to data validity and reliability (excluding data security threats).
- Collaborate with Divisions of Community Services, Clinical and Quality Management, Administration, and other stakeholders.
- Review data source and system training materials and previously developed threat assessment reports.
- Conduct subject matter expert and stakeholder interviews.
- Shadow data source users to understand real-world system usage.
- Perform source system table analysis and evaluate structured and unstructured data.
- Synthesize, prioritize, and document identified threats.
- Develop clear, actionable recommendations to mitigate data validity and reliability issues.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- Participate in daily check-ins during onboarding and training as required.
Requirement/Must Have
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience on IT software or application projects.
- Strong experience analyzing system problems and evaluating procedures and processes.
- Experience working with MS Excel, Power Query, and data warehouse capabilities.
- Ability to analyze both structured and unstructured data.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business and IT stakeholders clearly.
Experience
- Prior experience conducting system assessments, reviews, and improvement initiatives.
- Experience designing, testing, and implementing standards and solutions.

Qualification And Education
- Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, or
