Working at the intersection of banking, technology, and data science, you’ll help drive smarter decisions, optimise our balance sheet, and support the development of innovative analytical solutions that create real business value.

What’s the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Head of Financial Risk Modelling, you will lead the application of advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to support balance sheet optimisation, capital markets activity, financial modelling, and regulatory programmes.

You will work on high‑profile initiatives including securitisation, behavioural modelling, Basel 3.1 preparations, ICAAP and ILAAP support, while helping shape the future capability of our Finance Coding, Data Analytics and Modelling Centre of Excellence.

  • Lead advanced analytics projects that provide insight into financial performance, risk management and strategic opportunities.
  • Develop innovative modelling and data science solutions supporting securitisation, balance sheet optimisation and behavioural analytics.
  • Apply AI and machine learning techniques to enhance model development and balance sheet analytics.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reporting and decision‑making.
  • Support major strategic programmes including ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Planning and Basel 3.1 readiness.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and analytical methodologies that strengthen the Bank’s data science capabilities.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, Risk and Business teams to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in data science, analytics or quantitative modelling within financial services or banking.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate, analyse and model complex datasets.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in statistical modelling, predictive analytics and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • A passion for innovation and solving complex business problems through data and analytics.
