At Cynergy Bank, we're looking for an experienced Business Support & Recoveries professional to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to work with customers facing financial or operational challenges, helping them develop practical solutions, restructure facilities, and achieve sustainable outcomes wherever possible.
What's the Opportunity? You'll manage a portfolio of commercial customers requiring restructuring support, assessing business viability and developing strategies that protect the Bank while supporting customers through challenging circumstances. Working closely with stakeholders across the Bank, advisers, lawyers and other funders, you'll be trusted to make sound commercial decisions and deliver positive outcomes. This role is about far more than recoveries. It's about finding solutions, supporting businesses, and balancing risk with customer-focused decision making.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing a portfolio of customers experiencing financial or trading challenges.
- Developing and implementing restructuring and turnaround strategies.
- Assessing business viability and recommending appropriate customer solutions.
- Preparing and presenting high-quality credit submissions.
- Working closely with customers, advisers, lawyers and internal stakeholders.
- Managing complex lending arrangements and restructuring debt facilities.
- Supporting customers in line with TCF and Vulnerability principles.
- Identifying and mitigating credit risk while protecting the Bank's position.
- Presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and credit committees.
- Supporting ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
- Extensive banking experience, including restructuring, recoveries, portfolio management or credit risk.
- Experience supporting customers experiencing financial difficulty and restructuring debt facilities.
- Strong knowledge of commercial banking, real estate lending and credit risk.
- Experience presenting complex cases to credit committees.
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Strong commercial judgement and a solutions-focused mindset.
