Originate deals. Build relationships. Drive growth. At Cynergy Bank, we're looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven banking professional who wants to originate business, build a market presence, structure transactions and play a meaningful role in one of the Bank's key growth areas.
Working within our Financial Institutions Group (FIG), you'll help deliver funding solutions to specialist finance businesses whilst contributing directly to the continued growth of Cynergy Bank. What's the Opportunity? The FIG Origination team is responsible for driving new business growth across Cynergy Bank, identifying opportunities, developing relationships and structuring transactions that deliver sustainable value for both our customers and the Bank. As an Associate Director, you'll take ownership of developing new lending opportunities, building relationships across the specialist finance market and supporting the execution of transactions from initial discussion through to completion.
You'll manage your own business development activity and contribute towards income generation, whilst also partnering with experienced Relationship Directors on larger and more complex opportunities. This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the market, meeting clients and introducers, identifying opportunities and seeing transactions through to completion. You'll combine commercial instincts with sound credit judgement whilst building your profile within a highly regarded specialist banking team.
Where You'll Work You'll enjoy hybrid working, spending three days per week in our London office and two days working remotely.

How You'll Make an Impact Originate and develop new lending opportunities across the specialist finance market. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, introducers, intermediaries and professional advisers. Structure and execute transactions from initial engagement through to completion. Prepare high-quality credit papers, financial analysis and lending recommendations. Present opportunities to internal stakeholders and support credit approval processes. Manage an active pipeline of opportunities with a high degree of accuracy and transparency. Support Relationship Directors on larger and more complex transactions. Ensure all onboarding, KYC and AML requirements are completed in accordance with Bank policy. Monitor market developments and identify new business opportunities. Promote the Cynergy Bank brand and deliver outstanding customer outcomes whilst maintaining appropriate risk discipline.
What You'll Bring We're interested in talented professionals who can demonstrate a combination of commercial awareness, relationship management excellence and sound credit judgement. You'll likely have: Experience within banking, specialty finance, structured finance, asset-based lending or a related lending environment. A track record of developing and managing client relationships. Experience originating, analysing or supporting lending transactions. Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills. An understanding of transaction structuring and deal execution. The ability to balance commercial opportunity with prudent risk management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive mindset and desire to build a successful career within a growing specialist banking business.
