Working directly with senior executives, Board committees, regulators, and technology leaders, you will help ensure security remains a business enabler as we continue our journey of digital transformation, cloud adoption, automation, and AI innovation.

  • Define and deliver a pragmatic Information Security Strategy that supports the Bank's growth, resilience, and regulatory objectives.
  • Act as the Bank's senior security advisor, influencing strategic initiatives across cloud, automation, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Information Security team, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the Bank's cyber defence capability, overseeing security operations, threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, and technical assurance activities.
  • Strengthen governance frameworks, ensuring ongoing compliance with FCA, PRA, operational resilience, and industry security standards.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, translating complex cyber risks into clear business decisions and investment priorities.
  • Enhance third-party security oversight, ensuring suppliers and strategic partners remain aligned with the Bank's security expectations.
  • Champion a strong security culture across the organisation, empowering colleagues to make informed, risk-based decisions.
  • What You Will Bring
  • Proven experience leading Information Security within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
  • Experience leading Security Operations, cyber incident response, governance, and risk management activities.
  • Strong technical understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, enterprise infrastructure, and third-party security risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders, including Board and Executive audiences.
  • Strong commercial awareness, balancing risk management with business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP are highly desirable.
