- How You Will Make An Impact
- Support the development and continuous improvement of data governance across the bank.
- Maintain and enhance the data catalogue, business glossary, and data dictionary.
- Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and governance practices.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering groups, and working groups to drive collaboration and accountability.
- Monitor, manage, and help resolve data quality issues and risks.
- Support data lineage, metadata management, and data governance activities across multiple domains.
- Develop and maintain data quality rules and controls.
- Create governance templates, processes, and supporting documentation.
- Produce meaningful governance metrics, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
- Deliver guidance, support, and training to colleagues across the bank.
- What You Will Bring
- A passion for data, governance, business improvement, or risk management.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a bias towards action and continuous improvement.
- The confidence to take ownership, show initiative, and see tasks through to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Experience within banking, financial services, data management, operations, business analysis, risk, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
- Exposure to data governance, data quality management, metadata management, or regulatory reporting would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Basic SQL knowledge would be advantageous, although we are happy to support someone with the right aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with data catalogue tools, Google Cloud Platform, or Dataplex would be welcomed but is not essential.
