Cyient is looking for a Tool Design Engineer for onsite deployment in the UK to work in a high-tech production facility delivering composite aircraft components.
Required Skills:- Minimum 5 years experience in Tool Design related to composite molds and assembly jigs, Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Hands on experience with Catia V5
- Experience in development of tooling solutions (mould tools; 5 axis fixtures; assembly jigs; shop aids) from original concept through to production.
- Resolving issues in the internal and external supply chain
- Safety-first and Zero-Defect manufacturing mindset
- Create tool fabrication quotes, tooling input for new product quotes, tooling configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination & implementation
- Utilizing root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
- Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Manufacturing or related Engineering Courses
- Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
- Background in Aerospace industry
- Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent
- Understanding and use of an ERP system
- Experience of interpreting aged drawings
- Green Belt Certified
