Job Overview
Cyient is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project/Program Manager to oversee and manage Plant engineering projects in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineering projects and responsible for managing senior level customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage single / multiple Plant engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Managing contractual obligations related to design, including NEC contracts.
- Manage the development of detailed project plans, project programs, including scope, schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards valid in UK.
- Responsible for managing senior level customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain network of local engineering partners.
- Monitor the performance and progress of projects to time, cost, and stated quality and environmental standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Lead teams of professionals delivering major projects or portfolios of smaller projects.
- Support project development in the early stages of the project lifecycle with other technical and commercial disciplines.
- Active stakeholder management to clarify requirements and agree project objectives and priorities. Maintain stakeholder involvement in key decisions.
Qualifications
- A degree or similar qualification in engineering or project management subject.
- A relevant professional qualification with the APM, PMI, RICS or similar.
- Chartered (or working towards chartership) with a relevant chartered body eg. APM (ChPP), CIWEM, ICE, CIOB, RICS or similar.
- Proven track record of delivery of engineering projects in similar position 10+ years.
- Good leadership and people management skills and an ability to build and develop high performing teams.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond rapidly to unexpected events, and an ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
- Delivery of key targets and objectives within the limits of available resources.
- Proven track record of managing NEC contracts or similar contract arrangements.
- Cost, schedule, H&S, change, and risk management skills.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not Essential)
- Experience of working in client organisation in a lead delivery role.
- NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
