We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive socially and emotionally. Gravel Hill Primary School is a two-form entry primary school located in the centre of Bexleyheath.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support pupils in developing independence and confidence
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to review meetings
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
- Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA qualification)
