Cygnets Art School are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and reliable part-time, freelance teacher to run our classes. This role is suitable for someone who can fit around other commitments. Cygnets is a fine art school franchise for children, with 60+ locations in the UK. We teach traditional drawing, painting and sculpture, with experienced teachers and professional-quality materials.

Classes run for ages 5+ after school and weekends during term time, as well as every half term and school holidays. The successful candidate will teach all classes (term time and holiday) at locations in Putney and surrounding areas, for groups of up to sixteen students (assistants are provided for larger classes). You may also assist with local marketing tasks when required, such as flyering local schools and businesses.

Teachers are provided with all materials and a curriculum, including step-by-step videos for each project. This role suits a creative individual with a passion for teaching who is seeking well-paid, flexible work in the artistic industry with minimal hours to fit around other commitments.

Term Time Hours: Starting September – December 2025; ongoing each term (10 weeks per term, 3 terms per year).

Holiday Hours: Starting October 2025; Mondays and Tuesdays 10:30am–2:00pm. Ongoing each half term (3 weeks per year), Easter holiday (2 weeks per year), and Summer holiday (5 weeks per year).

Training Hours: The successful candidate will ideally be available to train by assisting with classes.

Pay: £35 per hour. This rate is paid for the length of the class and includes preparation, setup and cleanup time. Example: a 1-hour class from 3:30–4:30pm is paid at £35. Potential additional hours and income from private tuition/events/other classes.
