About Cygnets Art School
Cygnets Art School is one of the UK's leading children's art education providers, delivering structured fine art programmes through a growing network of over 90 locations across the UK. Alongside our established franchise network, we are now launching Cygnets Online – a new digital membership platform designed to bring the Cygnets experience into homes around the world through on-demand art projects, tutorials, creative challenges and educational resources.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded and highly organised Growth & Membership Manager to play a leading role in launching and growing Cygnets Online. Working directly with the CEO, you will help shape the future of a new online membership business focused on inspiring creativity in children and families worldwide. You will take ownership of membership growth, customer experience, marketing, content operations, systems and overall business performance.
This is not a traditional marketing role. It is an opportunity to join at the beginning of an exciting new venture and help build something meaningful from an early stage. Key Responsibilities
- Membership Growth & Revenue
- Develop and implement strategies to grow memberships and recurring revenue.
- Manage membership launches, promotions and growth campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to improve acquisition, conversion and retention.
- Explore partnership, affiliate and influencer opportunities.
- Analyse business performance and recommend improvements.
- Monitor key growth metrics and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Customer Experience & Retention
- Create and optimise member onboarding journeys.
- Develop strategies to improve engagement, satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor customer behaviour and identify opportunities to reduce churn.
- Oversee member communications and customer support systems.
- Help build an engaged and thriving online community.
- Marketing & Lead Generation
- Manage email marketing campaigns and customer automations.
- Coordinate content marketing activity across relevant channels.
- Support paid advertising campaigns and growth initiatives.
- Develop lead generation campaigns and marketing funnels.
- Monitor campaign performance and return on investment.
- Content & Platform Management
- Coordinate the organisation, upload and release of content.
- Manage and maintain the online content library.
- Work with content creators, freelancers and instructors.
- Help shape the long-term content strategy of the platform.
- Ensure the member experience remains engaging, professional and easy to use.
- Operations & Business Development
- Build systems and processes to support growth.
- Manage key software platforms and integrations.
- Track and report on key metrics including membership growth, revenue, retention, engagement and conversion rates.
- Produce regular performance reports and recommendations.
- Identify operational improvements as the business scales.
- Support the CEO in shaping the long-term direction of Cygnets Online.
About You
We are looking for somebody who is highly organised and proactive, commercially aware and data-driven, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a growing business environment, confident taking ownership and making decisions, creative, resourceful and solutions-focused, able to work independently and manage multiple projects, and passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Experience
- Experience managing marketing campaigns, customer journeys or membership growth initiatives
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition and retention strategies
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience using marketing, automation and reporting tools
- Ability to analyse data and make informed commercial decisions
- Experience working in a fast-paced or growing business environment
Highly Desirable Experience
- Experience working within an online membership, subscription or digital learning business
- Experience with platforms such as MemberPress, Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific or similar
- Experience with email marketing and marketing automation
- Experience with Meta Ads and digital advertising
- Community management experience
- Experience working within education, creative industries or children's services
- Experience managing freelancers, contractors or external agencies
