About the location
Cygnet Pindar House is a 22-bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility for men affected by acquired brain injury. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease support in managing the progression of their symptoms.

What do we want?
We are looking for an experienced SLT to provide assessment, advice and treatment who is skilled in diagnosis and management of the swallow and communication needs. Working alongside nurses, OTs, physios, psychologists and psychiatrists, you will work compassionately with individuals and their families, friends and carers to achieve person-centred goals and support each person in their planned outcomes. You will also be accountable for the supervision and management of another SLT who works in the service on a full-time basis.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
- Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists)
- Willingness to develop and supervise onsite other SLTs
- Experience of managing acquired speech, language and communication needs associated with neurological changes
- Experience of eating, drinking, feeding and swallowing assessment and management (essential)

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
