We are looking for a confident Acting Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including every other weekend, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Norcott Lodge.

You will work some shifts as a support worker, and some as an acting team leader, running the shift, allocating duties, giving medication and supporting staff and management in the running of the service. Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, Norcott Lodge is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.

Your day-to-day as an acting team leader:

  • Medication
  • Allocation of duties
  • Demonstrating best practice
  • Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely

Your day-to-day as a support worker:

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe & clean environment for all
