The role involves providing essential administrative and technical support to our Industry Regulation teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of environmental regulation across South East and South Central Wales. You will manage key regulatory systems, track compliance deadlines, and maintain accurate records for permitted industrial sites. Your work will contribute to preventing pollution and protecting local communities by supporting regulatory officers focused on frontline environmental protection.
Working as part of a friendly, collaborative team, you will liaise closely with regulatory officers and your Team Leader to meet compliance, monitoring, and reporting requirements, using Business ICT applications such as MS Office and Sharepoint. Attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a passion for contributing to environmental outcomes are essential for thriving in this role. As an organisation, we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office, and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed upon appointment. We work closely with businesses to manage risks, protect the environment, and deliver positive outcomes for people and nature.
What you will do:
- Manage critical business systems for the teams.
- Manage document storage requirements to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Establish and maintain systems to track compliance and enforcement performance.
- Manage all data access requests received and respond within agreed timescales.
- Support our response to complaints received.
- Work closely with other team members to deliver work objectives in a timely manner.
- Maintain database for recording submissions against Permit requirements.
- Contribute to a positive health, safety and well-being culture.
- Undertake health and safety duties appropriate to the post.

- Participate in incident response activities.
- Any other reasonable duties requested commensurate with the grade of this role.
