This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive Environment Team, playing an important role in protecting wildlife and the environment across Denbighshire. Working closely with the Team Leader and Environment Officers, you will provide essential administrative support that helps the team deliver its regulatory and operational responsibilities. Your work will include coordinating and collating regulatory compliance information, administering incident response rotas, and ensuring pool vehicles are maintained and available when needed. You will also support procurement processes to help ensure the team has the equipment and safety resources required to carry out its work effectively. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, with support to gain experience in areas such as evidence collation, database administration and simple permit determination. You will also respond to routine customer enquiries and ensure more complex queries are directed to the appropriate specialist staff. We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a committed team and wants to make a meaningful contribution to environmental protection in Denbighshire. Driving is essential to this role in order to undertake vehicle maintenance. You must hold a full and current UK driving license. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

What you will do:

• Support the integrated delivery of functions by the team and place including collation of complex regulatory compliance and enforcement information, coordination of responses and administration of incident response rotas.
• Hold or develop a knowledge in processes such as evidence collation, database administration or simple permit determinations that supports the delivery of work by the team or place.
• Respond to basic customer queries and ensure that more complex queries are recorded and passed on to relevant staff.
• Support and process procurement requests for the team or place to ensure appropriate equipment is available and maintained in line with procedures.
• Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.

• Required to take part in incident response activities.

Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills: In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method.

Additional Information: Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) check. Appointments are normally made within 4 to 8 weeks of the closing date. Natural Resources Wales is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Although we hold a Skilled Worker visa sponsorship licence, it applies only to specific roles that meet both the eligibility criteria and salary requirements set out by the UK Government under the Skilled Worker visa route.
