CYENS Centre of Excellence is seeking a Junior Marketing and Communications Officer to join its team of passionate and enthusiastic professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and communication strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to marketing initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and support engagement across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the back office of the CYENS website. Be confident in using WordPress and regularly update and maintain the CYENS website.
- Support and coordinate all digital marketing activities, including email campaigns, paid campaigns and social media management.
- Create, schedule, and upload content for social media, including video editing and product photography.
- Manage email marketing platforms and distribute content for CYENS newsletters.
- Maintain and enhance the CYENS marketing and communication database. Good working knowledge of content creation and AI/design tools.
- Monitor marketing performance, assess traffic and impact, and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing activities, including the website and social media.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to media outlets to promote CYENS initiatives, events, and achievements.
- Perform any other related duties as required.

General Qualifications and Requirements
- University Degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) or relevant diploma / certificate or other study title or qualifications in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or a relevant field, or expected to complete by the time of starting the job.
- Relevant experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation is an advantage but not required.
- Up to date knowledge of digital marketing trends and technologies.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Strong understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and performance management.
- Knowledge of content creation, media planning, and reputation management.
- Computer literate - excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software.
Language Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English are essential.
