As a Research Associate at CYENS, you will:

  • Visual Sciences: Virtual & Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Imaging & Multimedia.
  • Bio-Scent: Biometrics for Smart Human-centred Emerging Technologies.
  • DeepCamera: Next generation of the image/video processing pipeline, of computer vision applications and the use of deep-learning for deploying smarter digital cameras.
  • Visual Computing Group (VCG): Understanding real environments of increasing complexity, thus bridging the gap between virtual and physical worlds.
  • Health XR: Smart, Ubiquitous and Participatory Technologies for Healthcare Innovation.
  • PULSE: Breathing life to virtual worlds.
  • Visual Media Technologies Co-Lab (VMC): Developing novel and applied techniques driven by the need to improve the life quality of humans.
  • Human Factors & Design: Human-centred technologies and immersive systems.
  • Extended Experiences (EX): Interdisciplinary research group exploring the future of human-AI interaction through Extended Reality.

We are seeking highly skilled candidates with:

  • Degree in a relevant scientific field (BSc, MSc, or PhD).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills (e.g., programming, data analysis, XR tools).
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and motivation to work across disciplines.
  • Prior research, innovation, or industry experience is a plus.
