We are looking for a proactive and organized Purchasing & Logistics Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about products, orders and deliveries and provide support for the sales & purchasing team. You will play a crucial role in coordinating between Purchasing, Production and Logistics to ensure customer orders are met.
Location: Llansamlet, Swansea
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing indirect purchase orders.
- Processing invoices for all sales transactions.
- Checking prices and contracts are up to date.
- Supporting the sales force with general operations to help reach the team's objectives.
- Communicating internally important feedback to and from customers.
- Dealing with and responding to high volumes of emails.
- Liaising with the Company's Production team to ensure orders are ready to meet dispatch deadlines.
- Making all necessary logistics arrangements.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers.
- Ensuring all export paperwork is maintained including Incoterms, FTAs and rules of origin.
- General sales support.
These tasks are not intended as an exhaustive list of the post holder's duties. The post holder is expected to carry out any reasonable request as deemed appropriate by their Line Manager to support business needs. Specific responsibilities and authorities are defined in procedures relevant to the role.
Experience:
Essential:
- Customer order processing in a manufacturing organisation.
- Awareness of national and international logistics regulations.
- Experience in Export Documentation, incoterms, FTAs and rules of origin.
Desirable:
- SAP.
Qualifications and Training:
Essential:
- General secondary or vocational qualifications (e.g. GCSEs, BTEC Certificate) including Maths and English.
Desirable:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a business-related or technical discipline.
Other Attributes:
- Good interpersonal skills, able to establish strong customer relationships.
- Good written and verbal English.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
