We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Engineer to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be the bridge between design engineering and Operations, taking full ownership of the manufacturing processes, technical documentation, and tooling for our high-precision load sensing production line. Your mission will be to ensure that our line runs smoothly, our sensors are calibrated to the highest standards, and our production documentation is flawless. Key Responsibilities
- SOP Accuracy: Act as the primary owner of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the line. Review, update, and optimise assembly and test instructions to eliminate ambiguity and ensure high-quality yields.
- Calibration Documentation: Own and continually maintain all calibration process documentation. Ensure calibration methodologies for load cells/sensors are up to date, compliant, and clearly communicated to operators.
- Firmware & Configuration Control: Document and manage electronic firmware flashing procedures on the production floor. Maintain sensor configuration management records to ensure traceability of software/hardware variations.
- Tooling Optimisation: Work with Engineering to design, source, and maintain production jigs, fixtures, and specialised assembly tooling to improve line ergonomics, safety, and cycle time.
- Preventative Maintenance: Work alongside the maintenance team to ensure calibration rigs and line tooling are verified and functional.
- Weekly Line‑Side Reviews: Lead weekly line‑side reviews with operators and supervisors to capture feedback, address process bottlenecks, and discuss quality issues directly where the work happens.
- Cross‑Functional Liaison: Serve as the technical point of contact on the shop floor, translating engineering changes from the R&D team into actionable production steps.
