What you will be doing:
- Planning and leading regular rides, often jointly with other ride leaders
- Welcoming riders and helping to create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
- Supporting new and less experienced cyclists to build their confidence and ensure no one is left behind
- Following the guidelines as set in our guidance such as risk assessing the route and reporting incidents etc.
The skills you need:
- A confident cyclist with knowledge of local cycle routes
- A friendly, welcoming and encouraging attitude
- Sensitive to others' needs and able to assess someone’s general well-being, cycling level and bike before a ride
- Ability to do simple repairs, e.g., puncture repairs during rides
