The Opportunity

Cycle Pharmaceuticals based in Cambridge are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimise our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials from suppliers to contract Manufacturers, through to distribution to clients, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Cycle has three core areas of pharmaceutical development and work across rare metabolic, immunological and neurological genetic conditions: improving drugs – optimizing an existing drug; repurposing drugs – creating a new indication for an existing drug; and generics – reinstating generic drugs, previously available in the market. These three areas of focus are underpinned by formulation technology – using new drug delivery technologies to improve the efficacy and effectiveness of drugs, allowing us to give patients greater freedom and choice.

Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary: This is a full-time position within the Finance department, working in our Cambridge office on a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days in the office).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company objectives.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, production planning, inventory management, and distribution.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Monitor and forecast inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimise risks of stockouts.
• Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes using best practices and emerging technologies.
• Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive supplier performance, and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree educated with a preference for Supply Chain or Business-related fields.
• Experience in Supply Chain Management is a must, ideally within a managerial role.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industries is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is highly valued, experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
