This is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract starting in 2026 and working in our Marketing department at Cambridge offices on a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days in the office). Join our Marketing team as a Brand Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to take the lead in working on new and existing pharmaceutical products in the US market. In this role, you’ll develop the growth of both new and existing brands through strategic, high-impact marketing initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to make a measurable difference in boosting revenue, enhancing profitability, and ensuring every campaign aligns with US regulatory standards and guidelines.
As well as collaborating with your team, you will build strong relationships internally with key business areas in the US, including Sales, Distribution and Market Access, Medical Affairs, Compliance, and Cycle Vita, as well as in the UK with Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, PMO and Regulatory. Externally, you will interact with HCPs, patients, suppliers, patient organisations and other partners (Specialty Pharmacies, food companies, etc.).
What You’ll Be Doing In This Role:
- Develop, execute and refine the brand strategy for new and existing products, including brand positioning, branding and marketing briefs, messaging platform and customer segmentation to strengthen awareness and market share.
- Oversee the execution of brand initiatives and materials developed by the Marketing team, ensuring these activities are delivered in-line with the relevant brand strategy, expected KPIs and ROI.
- Utilise market intelligence and feedback to develop actionable marketing initiatives which align with the brand strategy.
- Creation of messaging for the sales team and/or Cycle Vita in response to market developments, new initiatives etc.
- Drive initiatives such as speaker programs, virtual patient events, advertising campaigns and patient testimonials, in collaboration with the marketing department.
- Responsible for HCP conference and patient events, supporting sponsorship determination, administration, briefing and assessing outcomes.
- Responsible for content ideation to feed marketing campaigns such as email marketing.
- Build relationships and facilitate opportunities with relevant patient organisations.
- Support marketing team in material lifecycle process from creation and updating of materials to expiry and recall.
- Responsible for ensuring projects are on budget, delivered according to the agreed plan and any discrepancies are reported to the Line Manager.
- Deliver marketing initiatives which can be measured on a communications and business level, to assess return on investment.
- Lead training of the sales team to ensure brands are represented in line with the brand messaging.
- Ensure compliance with all US regulations and guidelines for the promotion of medicines including HIPAA and FDA guidelines, and applicable laws.
- Provide regular reports and updates to your Line Manager on the progress and impact of marketing initiatives, materials, events/conferences etc. demonstrating a high degree of project management capability.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Solid scientific understanding with a strong appetite for ongoing learning and knowledge development.
- Extensive experience in B2B marketing within a brand-focused environment.
- Strategic, insight-led thinker with a passion for building and developing brands through creativity and collaboration.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan, and deliver to deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Skilled in building and nurturing effective relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.
- Confident negotiator, able to influence and challenge constructively while preserving positive working relationships.
- Innovative problem-solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to think creatively beyond conventional solutions.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with FDA submission processes (e.g., 2253 filings).
