This full-time position is working in our Cambridge office on a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days in the office). At Cycle Pharma, we’re dedicated to making lives better for patients with rare diseases through drug development and delivery. Due to growth within the business, we are now recruiting for a Quality Manager / Responsible Person (RP) to support us and be ready to make a real impact across every stage of pharmaceutical development.

In this position, you’ll be supporting our commercial operations for medicinal products where Cycle Pharma holds the Marketing Authorisation (MAH). As you progress, you’ll be named on Cycle’s Wholesale Dealer Authorisation (WDA) and API Distributor Licence (MHRA), ensuring full compliance with UK GDP requirements and helping protect the integrity of our supply chain. You’ll work across multiple therapeutic areas, collaborate with internal teams across the business, and play a key role in strengthening Cycle’s quality systems to support our continued growth and unwavering focus on patient safety.

Our core focus therapeutic areas include rare metabolic, immunological, and neurological genetic conditions, where we improve existing drugs, repurpose them for new uses, and bring generics back to market. Using cutting-edge drug delivery technologies, we enhance the efficiency of treatments, offering patients greater freedom and choice.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Work closely and support the product development teams to ensure all activities meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain processes to transfer products smoothly from development to commercial launch.
  • Use and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) to drive compliance and efficiency.
  • Act as (or support the) Responsible Person (RP) on Cycle’s Wholesale Dealer Authorisation, ensuring GDP compliance and product integrity.
  • Champion continuous improvement across quality systems and processes.
  • Represent Quality in cross-functional projects, offering expert GxP guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify risks, solve challenges, and strengthen operational quality.

The following skills and experience will be important in helping to set you up to succeed in this role:

  • BSc / MSc in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Cogent Gold Standard Responsible Person Certification or already registered as an RP with the MHRA.
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, preferably within pharmaceutical manufacturing or wholesale distribution.
  • Strong working knowledge of the GxP’s.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including confidence to challenge and influence constructively.
  • Organised, reliable, and results-oriented, with strong ownership of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
