Room Attendant – Staybridge Suites, Newcastle.

Our Housekeeping Team give the hotel the ‘wow’ factor. From the moment a guest walks into the hotel and through to their room the Housekeeping Team clean and service guest areas so everything is spotless and well-prepared.

Your core responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned rooms or public areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash/rubbish, etc. May include turndowns, deep cleans and cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.
  • Ensure that work is accurate throughout and to the highest standard
  • Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
  • Greet and acknowledge guests
  • Respond to feedback, special requests and act to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Notify Guest Services when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied
  • Report any room unable to be serviced to your line manager according to established procedures
  • Report all maintenance issues on daily basis
  • Demonstrate personal ownership of the tasks and follow through to get optimum results
  • Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
  • Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures

  • Ability to follow brand standard and deliver cleanliness required by the company
  • Be aware of HK SOPs, H&S procedures including COSHH
  • Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritise need of the departments and effectively manage resources and time
