Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations for all events, from prep to plate.
  • Lead event kitchen teams during service, ensuring timely execution, consistency, and excellence.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation in accordance with health codes and company policies.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best especially during high-pressure.
  • Manage inventory, supplier coordination, and cost controls to stay within budget while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and performance management when the Head Chef is unavailable.
  • Communicate effectively with event planners, service staff, and management to ensure seamless food service across all functions.

Qualifications

  • Has interest in culinary arts and cooking.
  • Has either been working as a Sous Chef already or a CDP who is ready for their next step.
  • Proven commercial or restaurant kitchen experience.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
