We are recruiting a Finance Assistant that consistently meets all internal and external reporting deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintains well-organised, compliant financial records in line with PCI, GDPR, and Marriott data protection standards, while operating efficiently according to SOPs and exceeding statutory and brand compliance requirements. Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and cross-departmental collaboration, alongside flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced hotel environment with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform daily verification of refunds, paid outs, PM/AR account and related authorisations in accordance with Marriott card payment policies and Hotel SOP.
- Conduct daily and monthly cashier audits and report discrepancies promptly.
- Investigate and resolve all cashiering discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile invoicing and report accordingly to the Finance Department.
- Reconcile credit card transactions daily, investigate variances, and prepare consolidated reconciliation reports.
- Monitor, log, and respond to credit card refunds, disputes, and chargebacks within bank deadlines, including balance sheet review and write-offs in Opera where applicable.
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Management Report to Hotel Leadership and Department Heads.
- Review daily revenue allowances, voids, no-sales, complimentary items, and house rooms for appropriate authorisation.
- Verify that all revenues are posted accurately to the correct revenue streams in line with Marriott standards.
- Reconcile daily the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty stay and the Commission invoices, reporting accordingly on the PMS and Marriott software.
