About the role
Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre – Everyone Active is looking for an ambitious and self‑motivated individual who is ready to embrace our brand mission of 30 minutes of activity 5 times a week. The role involves engaging residents in activity that will improve their health and wellbeing.
The role involves:
- Leading group exercise classes, particularly those aimed at older people or people with medical conditions.
- Administering activities to deliver the Local Community Wellbeing Plan.
- Ensuring the highest levels of customer service and safety are achieved in the activities overseen.
- Organising and managing class schedules and resources.
Qualifications and experience
- Fitness level 2/3.
- Group exercise qualifications such as Yoga and Pilates; ideally Strength and Balance (Otago).
- Wide experience of leading group exercise classes.
- Good organisational skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Otago (Strength and Balance), GP Referral and First Aid at Work qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Sports coaching qualifications an advantage.
