My client requires a Financial Crimes Advisory Senior Consultant to manage multiple, simultaneous anti-money laundering (AML)-related engagements. £70,000 - £90,000 Salary offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Validations for any AML-related models (following applicable guidelines)
- Tuning of Transaction Monitoring (TM), Screening, and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) models
- System Implementations for TM, Screening, and CRR/CDD systems
- AML Program Reviews, including policies, procedures, gap analysis, and risk assessments
- Risk Assessments, Staffing Assessments, and more
Key Capabilities:
- In-depth understanding of US anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines
- Ability to assess adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and systems
- Skilled in identifying material vs. immaterial gaps or discrepancies quickly
- Competency in understanding data analysis outputs and their implications
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
- Quick to learn and absorb new information
Duties Include:
- Reviewing and evaluating policies and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Assessing clients' AML systems and documentation
- Evaluating the design and effectiveness of clients' AML programs, staffing, and documentation
- Collaborating with data-focused colleagues to interpret analytical outputs
- Consulting with subject matter experts and managers to resolve complex issues
- Preparing clear and concise reports summarising findings
- Engaging with clients at all levels in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of consulting experience
- At least 3 years of AML-related experience
- CAMS certification preferred, but not required
