My client is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer. Salesforce is new to the business and we are migrating from a legacy CRM. You will take significant ownership of how Sales Cloud and Service Cloud are implemented to support sales, client servicing, and operational workflows within a regulated fintech environment.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape the Salesforce platform from the ground up, defining architecture, standards, and best practices as the organisation scales. This is a hybrid role - 3 days a week in the office.
Salary range: £75,000 to £95,000

Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce Architecture & Development
- Architect, configure, and develop Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Define core platform architecture, data models, and integration patterns
- Build scalable solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and configuration
- Lead the migration from a legacy CRM to Salesforce
- Platform Ownership & Governance
- Act as the technical owner for Salesforce across the organisation
- Establish standards for security, data, automation, and environments
- Ensure solutions scale with business growth and regulatory requirements
- Integrations & Data
- Design and support integrations with internal and third-party systems
- Optimise data models, sharing rules, and automation
- Maintain high levels of data quality, auditability, and performance
- DevOps & Quality
- Own Salesforce DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing
- Maintain high standards of code quality and documentation
- Reduce technical debt and improve platform reliability
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work closely with product, sales, service, and technology teams
- Contribute to agile delivery and technical planning
- Mentor engineers and lead by example
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Significant experience as a Senior Salesforce Engineer or Developer
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and configuration
- Proven experience with Salesforce DX, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, sharing, and permissions
- Hands-on experience building API integrations and working with middleware
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Product-focused mindset with a customer-centric approach
- Experience in payments, onboarding, fintech, or banking environments is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A true team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
- Adaptable, tenacious, and able to perform under pressure
