We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading, employee-owned Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist for multiple BMS Support Engineers across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers looking to develop their careers within the BEMS industry, working across a mix of mobile and part-static roles depending on location and client requirements. Positions are available nationwide, with a particular focus on the Midlands. We are also looking for London, Cardiff, and the South West.
The Role
As a BMS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and maintenance support across a range of building control systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking preventative maintenance (PPM) and diagnostics in line with service level agreements
- Producing clear and concise service reports following maintenance visits
- Maintaining schedules and trackers to ensure visibility of works for both internal teams and clients
- Carrying out small repairs and remedial works
- Performing routine inspections to ensure optimal system performance and reliability
- Responding to reactive service calls and system failures
- Accurately documenting all service activities, including maintenance, repairs, and client interactions
Some roles may involve a hybrid mobile/static split, including support on secure or high-profile sites.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience within the building controls/BMS industry
- Strong knowledge of Trend systems (including IQ Vision)
- Experience with additional platforms such as Siemens, Tridium, Schneider EcoStruxure, or ALC (training can be provided)
- A solid understanding of mechanical plant
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- The ability to systematically identify and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good IT literacy
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS card (or equivalent)
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- For certain roles, candidates may need to meet security clearance requirements and be located within a commutable distance of specific sites.
