The Role
You’ll be the bridge between Sales and Engineering: translating customer goals into Microsoft-first security designs that are deliverable, scalable, and aligned to real-world budgets and timelines. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who enjoys workshops, whiteboarding, demos, storytelling, and turning complex problems into confident decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Win work (end-to-end presales): Partner with Sales through the full lifecycle: qualification → discovery → solution design → proposal → close
- Lead customer meetings and workshops to uncover requirements, risks, constraints, and success criteria
- Deliver strong demos and walkthroughs of CyberOne’s services and Microsoft security capabilities
- Own technical responses for RFP/RFI/RFQ/tenders
- Design solutions customers can deliver
- Translate needs into clear solution designs: architecture overviews, scope, assumptions, dependencies, and commercials
- Create high-quality proposal content and Statements of Work (SOWs) that set delivery up for success
- Work closely with Engineering/Delivery to ensure designs are practical and outcomes are measurable
- Improve presales ways of working: intake, qualification, pipeline hygiene, and handover standards
- Create playbooks, templates, and guidance that make the team faster and more consistent
- Support internal enablement sessions where needed
- Keep current on Microsoft security and modern workplace (and the threat landscape)
- Feedback customer needs and market signals to help shape CyberOne’s evolving portfolio
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Microsoft-first technical credibility
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Azure security, such as: Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, Entra, Purview, Azure
- Solid grounding in identity, cloud security, endpoint, detection/response, and compliance fundamentals
- Presales excellence
- Confident running discovery and technical workshops with both engineers and senior stakeholders
- Strong writing skills: proposals, SOWs, and structured technical documentation
- Clear communicator who can turn complexity into a story that lands commercially
- Organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure with multiple bids in flight
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable challenging assumptions
- Happy travelling within the UK for customer sessions (and hosting in Paddington)
Nice-to-Have
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, MS-102, or similar)
- Experience in a consultancy, MSSP, or MSP
- Understanding of broader cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.)
