Required Contract Interaction Designer urgently required by Westminster based Government body. This is a 6 month piece of work inside of IR35 Legislation. As Interaction Designer you will work on Beta stage projects with some high-profile features which will require prototyping from scratch. This will use modern technology and Agile development methodology to provide the creative input for building new digital services and support the transformation driven by user insight and clear media content, to change how our clients connect with our services. UI experience is key!

The Digital Team operates as a shared service supporting projects to deliver digital replacements for paper based services in compliance with Government's Digital by default service standard.

The Interaction Designers must be able to demonstrate:

  • Expertise designing interactions professionally for the web and mobile.
  • Solid experience of web and mobile application interface design.
  • Core skills: sketching, design production, hand‐coded HTML & CSS, rapid prototyping.
  • Experience working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment, and ability to deliver iterative design components (including user journeys) to the development team.
  • A self starter.
  • Team player that can work with a blended UCD environment.
  • Someone with data heavy UI experience.
  • Outcome focussed, need to be a strategic thinker, not a UI designer.
  • Demonstrable experience in inclusive design, from ideation to delivery.
  • Experience in communicating all of the above with non-technical stakeholders.
